PIZZATO earns two Golden Medals at the 4th International Wine Competition

PIZZATO Vines and Wines won two Golden Medals at the 4th International Wine Competition held this month in the town of Bento Gonçalves, the heart of Vale dos Vinhedos (Vineyards Valley). The prize winning wines were Pizzato Reserva Merlot 2005 and Pizzato Reserva Cabernet Sauvingnon 2004.  This award means an ever-increasing recognition of the excellence of the wines produced by Pizzato, who has been collecting honorable mentions in official competitions and tastings organized by the specialized media.
Earlier this year, Pizzato Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 had already won the Great Gold Medal at the 5th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Brazil, held in August at Vale dos Vinhedos.  There were 51 acknowledged tasters from 9 countries (Argentina, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Uruguay and 35 from Brazil), who judged 434 samples and awarded 127 prizes. Competitors came from 15 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, United States and Uruguay.
The 4th International Wine Competition was promoted by the Associação Brasileira de Enologia – ABE (Brazilian Oenoloy Association), being recognized by the International Organization of Vine and Wine – OIV and the International Union of Oenologists – UIOE.
