FAUSTO (DE PIZZATO) CHARDONNAY

2013 was the first vintage ever for this wine. Grapes from DR FAUSTO Vineyard which in former years were used to make sparkling wines;
the plot with a low production per plant (different clone) was set apart to make this still wine.

TASTING NOTES

Clear, bright, yellow pale with green traces: fine and elegant, with green apple, pearl, apricot,  pineapple syrup, white flowers and minerality: dry, fresh, well balanced, medium bodied, medium to long finish. *average perceived

FOOD PAIRING

Light and not so spiced fish dishes, white-sauce pastas, fresh cold salads and seafood.

WINEMAKING

The grapes were de-stemmd, crushed and gently pneumatic-pressed. Then wine was clarified and fermented with very low temperatures to retain floral and fruit characteres. NO oak aging or fermenting.

SERVICE

The best drinking temperature range is 6 – 9º C (42 -48º F)
